Exactly. People say shit like this but reality is their friendship have never been put on test. Sometimes the helping option is convenient so it also mask the problem. Only when the convenient option is not helping you and the helping option is inconvenient, does the decision count as legitimate.

Kinda like, your friend just had sex and you are meeting, he won't put you down near women cuz sex not really on mind.
