I think it has something to do with the fact that social media has increased female's standards while simultaneously degrading mens'.

"Men aren't shit"
All that is easy to say when you have a billionaire chad who's desperate for you
Influencers like thewizardliz tell young girls to tap into their feminine energy and be independent
While that is good for society as a whole, it does quite the exact opposite effect for females; now they think they're entitled to princess treatment simply for existing. And wanting efforts back from women is seen as emasculating for men, and the moment they stand up for themselves they're called gay, feminine, weak and insecure
Social media has ruined people in ways that they all might need (regardless of gender) one big giant therapy session
