the majority of models are either weird looking but somewhat eye catching I guess, or are good looking but not leagues above every other good looking guy (they don’t have very high aesthetics).

They're the embodiment of universal attraction, you can never look at guys like that and say that they are unattractive/unappealing in ANY shape or form since they don't have any real failos, it's the same with female super models. Having said that, there are still personal preferences in action, I wouldn't rate every super model/Miss World/Miss Country winner over every local model over every stacy over every becky etc etc. Women think the same but their attraction is even more tied into shit like specific traits like some prefer a dom face over pretty boy or even non related look stuff like behaviour.
