I dont know who needs to hear this but bro if you are looking for the perfect skincare routine its literally this :
1) 4 L+ water ed
2) 0.05% tret every night with moistuirizer ( buffer method )
3) spf 50-60 PA++++ sunscreaam after showering in the morning

just do this
im kinda stunned seeing my face now in the beginning you might see more acne and thats completely normal with tret just give it time dont be a dumbfuck and leave it after 1-2 weeks give it 3-6 months and it would prolly be one of the best decisons of your life

I'd rather blast some isotretinoin for a few months and afterwards use tazarotene long-term.

There is no reason to use tret with all the other retinoids.

Or just get on Taz. It’s the upgraded version of it.

I use 0.1% tretinoin. I’m satisfied with it granted my skin has never been acne-prone.

Single digit IQ. Pharmacology is constantly evolving, so how on earth would the ideal remain the same?

Trifarotene is a 4th generation retinoid, it's even better than tazarotene. It is imperative that you go buy it now.

It's great, there are better options. Nothing wrong with that.

Do you use it everyday?

I have tried before but I became very irritated, have to do a few nights off every once in a while

I started off, as you always should with retinoids, about once every 3 days-ish. I’d then just gradually progress towards nightly over the course of maybe a month. You will purge in the form of acne or dryness, at least; that’s to be expected due to the actual mechanism of retinoids themselves. Nothing to worry about.

Just stick with it and don’t get impatient.

there was no need for you to be blatantly condescending here.
Pharmacology evolves indeed, but I have assumed that 5.5psl mentionned a recent method just like you did. 2 different recent methods = which one to choose ?

Use taz instead then

Same results long term but Taz is more aggressive and will give much faster results without the out the irritation from Tret since taz is way more selective and doesn't touch RAR alpha and RAR beta.

Should I use 0.05 or 1%?
