I was in Hong Kong from the 4th April - 10th

It’s tooo… idk, hard to describe . It’s not sing-songy like mandarin. Cantonese mostly reminds me most of Thai and Vietnamese

I'm not too good at differentiating between Eastern languages compared to European ones especially from the Romance branch. Maybe I should learn more.

Watch some wong kar wai movies and you'll start to appreciate Cantonese more. Really beautiful language as well. Arguably more musical because more tones.
