My mandible is recessed and I was wondering if keeping my retainer in every night will stop it from progressing forward, or should I still keep wearing it and it doesn’t affect forward growth?

Was genuinely just curious bro thought since there’s a way bigger gap between my top and bottoms teeth it might push back my lower jaw even more. Also good to mention it’s one of the plastic mouthguard type retainers and not a metal one
