They can only be made from silicon so not great, and useless if you don’t need chin projection.

Well, no. They can be made from Pmma or Uhwmpe too (idk if they can be made with peek)

My point is just they can only be made from soft flexible material due to their size and the difficulty of placing them without a giant external incision.

And we know soft flexible materials are not great.
