Tbh. Anytime I've had normies ask for my opinion on something popular or something controversial I've always answered in the most neutral way possible. I've had normies larp as being edgy/racist and then ask for my opinion on something before admitting to not being edgy/racist. You have to play neutral every single time, there is no point in agreeing with them and then backtracking after they admit to larping, normies also want to know if you're playing the Schrodingers douchebag archetype so they can know if you're just a "yes man" that will agree with everything they say for the sake of status/having some friends. I once was out drinking, and this one guy brags how smart he is for voting for some gigacapitalists who only think about profits, and I just had to call him out, but I instantly understood it was a social failo ngl.
