Im not currently aware of what you look like but there could be many reasons as to why they are kind to you. Just remember the human mind is always looking for the answer that will make you happy. For ex they could be taking pity on you, always look at interactions from as many lens as possible and not just the one that makes you feel happy and secure, but again i could be completely in the wrong as im not aware of what you look like.
