Many Singaporeans look Peruvian

My post about the shared ancestry between Native Americans and many East and Southeast Asian populations goes into this in more detail, but i’m still fascinated by how, here in Spain, some Singaporean tourists i’ve seen look so similar to people from Peru that i honestly wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Indigenous groups from Chile or Argentina like the mapuches often have lighter skin, while many Native American groups in the US tend to have taller noses and are generally taller. Because of this, Singaporeans especially those of Malay or Chinese heritage sometimes seem to fall somewhere in between in terms of appearance.
