Since Feb. 24th, a siege has been ongoing in Mariupol. Azov has their base there after they captured the port from Russia and it is majority Russian speakers who sympathize with Putin there, although Azov still keeps the people there in check since 2014.
Russia has sent Spetsnaz who are lobbing artillery from land, air and ballistic missiles from sea. The electricity is gone, people have no access to food, water, hygiene, are getting sick from being cold, people are getting killed in indiscriminate shelling, over 90% of the city is damaged and famines are imminent, if not already happening. The city is surrounded in rubble, and Azov has been engaging in house-to-house combat, urban warfare and trench warfare against the enemy. Azov has stolen tanks and used NLAWS against them, used unguided mortars with precision and have wiped out infantry units of elite special forces and their officers.
In this video we see a small raid that popped tires so the Spetsnaz had to abandon it.
Aside from destroying military officers, special forces, separatist rebels, other Russian soldiers and Chechens, as well as enemy forces wasting countless military equipment and arsenal on the city as they divert all their resources to it, and countless GTA style tank "pimp my rides" from Russia that Ukrainians use to blow up other tanks in street combat, this is fucking crazy. That literally means that these Azov fucks are being shelled constantly, 2,000 - 20,000+ civilians have already died and are being buried in mass graves, Ukraine has no air power or air defense, they have no electricity, and the Azov fighters are up 24 hours fighting in the freezing ass cold with little food or water and they are winning, wiping out the fucking SPETSNAZ. This is some straight up FUBAR shit. Then you have this bombshell that dropped a day or so ago:

Despite the overwhelming forces of the enemy, the fighters of the Azov Regiment are trying to conduct successful operations in Mariupol, to counterattack and not sit in a dead defense, trying to impose their initiative to worsen the situation of the enemy.
According to Censor.NET, the commander of the Azov Regiment, Hero of Ukraine Denis Prokopenko (call sign Radis) told Dmitry Gordon in an interview.
"Despite the situation in Mariupol, the personnel does not lose hope. All the guys are cheerful. We are ready to fight to the last. As promised to fulfill the military order, to remain faithful to the oath. We will fight here to the last drop of blood," he said.

He noted that Azov fighters do not tire of burning enemy tanks, destroying enemy infantry, which has already run out, which is losing strength every day and its offensive pace is fading.
"Currently, the situation in Mariupol is extremely difficult but controlled... We will keep it to the last. We believe and know that sooner or later the unblocking will take place. I do not want to tell many military secrets now. Let it remain classified as "secret". The highest military and political leadership is also working on this. This operation will be a success, and we will survive, "the commander said.
"The enemy is constantly trying to bring new reserves into battle, but is constantly getting hurt by our units, surrenders en masse, does not want to go forward. They are cold, hungry, naked, barefoot, and have no desire to fight," said Prokopenko.
He stressed that, despite the overwhelming strength of the enemy, the regiment's fighters are trying to conduct successful operations, counterattack, and not sit in a defensive defense, trying to impose their initiative to worsen the situation of the enemy.
"Even though the city battles have been going on for the second week, we are trying to control the situation in full and keep everything under control. And every day we send more and more occupiers to hell trying to seize the house, the street. And Mariupol will be Ukrainian, "the Azov commander said.
While Russian officers are getting killed left and right, Denis Prokopenko, Svyatoslav Palamar and Volodymyr Baranyuk are still alive fighting in trenches underneath aerial, land and naval bombardment. Like they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and in war the longer you stay alive the more experience you get on the battlefield and Azov is well beyond their capacity, regardless if they have them encircled on all corners, massively outnumbered and cut off their logistics and outside support. This is machiavellianism at its finest.
