marks in my mouth

everytime i rest my tongue on my mouth for a long time, my top teeth leave marks on the meaty part of my mouth, (beneath the bottom lip), is it because im recessed or is it because my palate is too narrow, or both?

Sounds like u gotta an overbite so ur chin is prolly ressesed and ur mandilble is prolly short. Also toungue should be on the roof of ur mouth make sure to practice propper tounge posture

i tried fixing my overbite but doctor said it wasnt too much to be worth fixing, how do i fix my chin recession?

I wouldnt know myself as i have an ever so slightly reseeding chin but i got orthodontic work done a while back to fix it( it didnt fix it completly) and it helpped significantly recduce the overbite ( it was probably like yours) . They did this with s retainer. If u want to fraud it u can just push your jaw forward slightly and hold it like that through the day( what i do) but its annoying. Mark as solution

partially by fixing your overbite, although a genioplasty would be perfect. find another doctor,my doctor been lying to me too

i dont think its the overbite, since my jaw just goes downward for some reason, probably caused by poor posture when I was growing up. (I asked someone else a while ago if it was caused by my overbite and they said no)
