MARPE 10mm expansion

today I had a final checkup with the orthodontist regarding the marpe expander, which has already been ordered and will arrive within 14days

however, I was confused by what he said that the dilation will be 10mm!!! will my eyes pop out from such widening of the ethmoid bone? ()

*considering that my maxilla isnt that mega narrow*

He probably meant that the expander is 10 mm max. Keep in mind that those expanders aren't exactly 1 to 1 expansion it is usually 60 to 70 percent of turns that translate to real expansion
