MARPE downsides (got no interaction in main)

Before any of you dnr faggots come on my post these are genuine question’s so people who have gone thru the MARPE experience read full

Most of my research that I have conducted is done but i’m still not sure if I really want this or not. My palate is small, my mouth is tiny, and my teeth BARELY show when smiling. Not to mention my overbite(braces after marpe might help. But I was wondering if anybody who has had a MARPE has been affected by the downsides I came by on my research. Asymmetry, Wide bulge nose, V shaped alien face or just looking stupid as fuck in general. My mouth is genuinely tiny and I mouth breath at night as well as not having a wide enough palate for my tongue to rest on. So plz lmk if you have experienced any misfortunes and if you have, how did you fix it and how can I prevent it?

thats vertical maxillary deficiency not transversal. marpe would still benefit but you probably need downgraft. also check if your front upper incisors are angled inwards or no

if your nose doesnt look horrible to begin with its a little price to pay i think. maybe you can get rhinoplasty to fix it later if it bothers you so much

nose isn’t that bad at all bridge is just slightly to high(lowering bf% is prob gonna help), can’t get a downgraft(to young still mad potential), do you have any good orthos in La?, and for the “mandibular symphisis distraction osteogenesis” i’m pretty sure my lower jaw will decently grow in width thru puberty and again to young. thx for the methods tho

got mine removed a few days ago

yes there is some asymmetry in my nose but its not very noticable irl so i dont care. i wouldn't recommend it to somebody unless they explicitly tell me they have a very narrow jaw, os in your case i would tell you to go ahead with it.

there is no "v shaped face" in my case since i had a narrow face to begin with, but even now, it doesnt look like it has expanded enough to make a huge difference. It doesn't look odd or anything like that.

Just know that installation and removal is a bit painful lmao
