If my palate is about 3 mm wider on one side, and my maxilla is more projected on one side, with noticeably more hollowness and less bone under my eye on the other side when I look at my side profile, my concern is whether an orthodontist can expand it without making me extremely asymmetrical. I saw how the skull splits during expansion, and I would say that it seems somewhat unpredictable how it will expand or the ortho can solve that?
