Does any one know if orthodontists could possibly expand one side more than the other?

My maxilla is tilted and more exanded on the right side for quite a few years atp (because im missing one of the little teeth between the incisor and those two middle ones on the upper row) and it never got treated but now as it is very much affecting me can orthos do this or atleast offer a insurance covered surgery to move the maxilla back to the centre? (atleast 10-15mm shifted to the right atp)

It also has affected my posture to always having to lean to the right (spinal, shoulders, head tilt, etc.)

Other than this huge error ive developed quite well with very good facial ratios but ltn eye area (possibly from the reccession) but my right zygos are visibly 1cm wider than the left side.

I havent been able to consult any ortho as my mother just doesnt care atp, im based in brisbane/gc australia if anyone has good recommendations for orthos

3 piece lefort would probably be ideal in your case but I still think that a regular MARPE guided with corticopuncture helps in almost every case with lateral strain.

Quick question there is also a slight negative horizontal tilt with the lateral strain on thr right side, could these fix that aswell?

Orthodontists can fix small unevenness, but big jaw shifts usually need surgery. A specialist can move your upper jaw back to the center, and it might be covered if it affects your bite.

Do you have a crossbite of some sort? This is quite a common symptom for bite misalignments. Either of the two options I gave you will fix this tho if your ortho or maxfac isn’t a complete retard.

drifts 10~12mm away from nose centre and has caused severe tmj on the left side of my jaw, and my teeth sink into my molars on the left side and the right side is also tilted down by a few degrees

Yeah then it’s quite possible. This also causes TMJ issues and a bunch of other fuck shit. You’ll get it fixed tho if you expand with or without surgery :feelspanties:

Yeah it’s quite common, I’m in the same boat :Comfy: Do you know if your TMJ disc recaptures? If it does then any of the two plans will go without problem but if it doesn’t and you feel like your moth doesn’t open 100% then it may be too late for non surgical options :feelsrope:

Is that the jaw clicking? Mine does do that but its happenjng less and less often after 2 years, im quite fine going with the surgery route as in aus if i go public almost all of it gets covered *if i am approved* which i hope i do
