i have recently realised that my upper pallet is narrow and have had breathing problems most of my life and am trying to request my dentist in the uk to give me a Marpe I also have almost a serve asymmetry where completely half of my isn’t developed my parents aren’t allowing me to get it and don’t support it and my brother thinks it will cause problems and hinder my growth is there anything I can say or do to convince the dentist to give me a Marpe

I dont think marpe is widely done in the uk unless you mean a traditional palate expander, if you are 17 and over you should consider going abroad to do marpe

"also have almost a serve asymmetry where completely half of my isn’t developed" what does that mean if you have a severe facial asymmetry or even a subtle one marpe could harm your facial aesthetics cause it's known to worsen existing asymmetries, you should consider a lefort osteotomy for palate expansion in this case
