The masculine prettyboy, meaning a prettyboy with a very muscular body, can thrive best in countries like Brazil, Argentina, i.e., underdeveloped countries. It will do better than the prettyboy and better than the masculine archetypes. Here's why:
(i) money and social status are still important: even if you are a middle-class brazilian, you are not as well off as people in developed countries; thus, women care way more if men are rich and\or have social status. Now, picture this: you went the route of the masculine, you grew a large beard, put on a lot of muscle, wear some rugged jeans, boots, a leather jacket and lots of tattoos. I don't know about others countries, but in Brazil this whole vibe would be very low class, attracting only poor fat women past 30s. Prettyboys, on the other hand, while being masculine, can balance it with feminine features, which is something that signals status and money (femininity gravitates towards high class: in most public schools in Brazil, most boys look like they are ready to pick a helmet and start working on construction due to their lack of feminine features).
(ii) safety and intimidation are also important: this is the shortcoming of prettyboys in countries like Brazil. Women also need a man who can protect them physically and that makes other men afraid of messing with her, because we are still in a violent country (many people are robbed in a monthly basis and drunk men are eager to fight with other men). A skinny prettyboy with baggy clothes and jewelry will be considered a faggot by many men here in Brazil and will not have physical prowess to deal with fights, thus getting no respect at all and being susceptible to agression by other men. A very muscular men, on the other hand, instantly signals these things that a prettyboy fails.
As we've seen, the shortcoming of the masculine man is his face: it looks too low class, where the shortcoming of the prettyboy is his body: the twink look doesn't work in underdeveloped countries. Thus, if we combine a prettyboy face (messy hair, glowing skin, clean shaven or light stubble, some jewelry) with a muscular body, we overcome difficulties (i) and (ii). Why not simply bring a chad to solve problem (i) and (ii)? Chads could also solve this problem, but masculine prettyboys are more effective because they are born out of this dilemma, as we've seen. Due to their contrasting features, masculine prettyboys solve the dilemma without a doubt, whereas chads can still make some women wonder if he's not too much of a twink (in the case of chads with bad frames or skinnier than average), or if he doesn't look too low class.
