There is a marked difference between the genders concerning the cheekbones, these differences often contribute to the feminisation or the masculinisation of a face.
One difference lies in the zygomatic arch:
In general, feminised arches are very thin and low, while masculine arches are very thick and high.
Furthermore, as per the chart, the zygos themselves differ as well. Masculine cheekbones are high set and have an irregular surface, while feminine cheekbones are low and have a smooth surface (round).
Here’s how the difference looks from the skull.
On the right is a hyper-masculinised skull while the left is a hyper-feminised skull. As you can see, the masculine cheekbones are markedly higher relative to the other features, and the zygomatic arch is far thicker.
