If we say that scoring the winner in a world cup final (or other sports equivalent final) is seen as the pinnacle of male life on earth today in a competitive sense, imagine whatever sensation that game winning player is feeling and multiply it by 100 to get close to the feeling after you've successfully massacred your enemies along with the army of your kin.
Imagine after the battle being surrounded by hundreds or thousands of your kin with blood on their hands all feeling like Gods after what they had just overcome

Imagine having the most primal state of being fully activated once you take the lives of your enemies in the fight for survival then come out victorious

The unfortunate thing is though, almost all people who talk about how they would be a lethal knight in the medieval times would actually have been simple serfs (a medieval working class basically) or, if they were in battle, used as simple infantry (cannon fodder).

Knights were an elite class, who also usually had ties to nobility already (IIRC). 99.9% of men would not be them, despite how "dangerous" they think of themselves.

We tend to look at history with rose-tinted glasses in this case, thinking we could have been knights or hunters or kings or whatever, but do not realise that even back then, the makeup was comprised of classes like today too, and most people alive in that time were not based warriors, but simple serfs, slaves, etc. We simply remember the knights and kings and emperors of those times because the commoners (a.k.a most of the population) were forgotten to time as irrelevant, as "nobodies". As modern "commoners", for almost all of us, this will be our fate, too (if nothing changes drastically). Historians in 1000 years (if humans are even still around) will remember Trump, Biden, Kamala, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, celebrities, etc, not us.

Such is life.

I don't mean to be explicitly nihilistic but the way the world works is nihilistic sometimes.

There definitely is a possibility they won't.

Maybe not 1000. 500 years, and possibly only if the U.S collapses, as they'll be remembered as the remnants of a decaying/dead empire. One person that would be remembered though is a possible modern Caesarian figure who changes the U.S or another big country in a large way, often the strong man theory is what people remember (i.e Caesar, Napoleon, Stalin, Austrian Painter, Mao, Hannibal, etc). One, singular huge figure. Obviously in a "democratic" system (the U.S is not actually democratic), people come and go. Trump is the closest to what we've had of a Caesarian figure for a long time (in the west anyways).

Yep

I don't understand niggas who romanticise the medieval era or Rome or something

Every society post-agricultural revolution is "cucked" according to the standards of primitivists(hates 'wage slavery')

Fighting wars was primarily just marching and camping

Societies built for stability and to funnel wealth to the 1% of the 1%

At least the mediation between upper and lower classes has bridged modern comforts to us

All of this is true.

I don't blame OP for fantasising about this however, tales of chivalry and such illicit quite the emotional response in men. Strikes at something very primitive and ingrained in our biology.

If you think you are getting mogged in the modern age, imagine how cucked you feel when some knight comes down to your village and burns down all your crops just because of what he was born as (a Chad knight) vs you (an incel peasant).

In modern age, you get mogged. In medieval age, you get a sword in the gut. And you see your wife and daughters moistening when they see the said knight as he obliterates down your year's harvest, kills your sons, rapes your women and plunders your house.

The best of it all is, all this happened because Obama (a usurper) had beef with Trump (your blessed rightful King, long may he reign). Which was all probably catalysed by Elon Muskyfinger.

If you are not rich and succesful in today's era, the chances are you were not some kind of Aragorn or Ned Stark in the olden era. Best I can do is 'you were conscripted into the army in the promise of loot and adventure, but you died to some peasantpox at the siege of Chadingsburg due to marching non-stop 9 hour marching for the last couple of weeks with minimal food and your body finally giving in'.

You were not that guy pal. You were not that guy. :feelskek:

I was moreso referring to the time prior to knights/full body armour when it was just a weapon and a shield so there wasn't a drastic difference in technology among different fighters
This thread wasn't to claim that I would been some important warrior if I was born in that time but maintained my current societal position, but rather to just ask how it felt to be in the shoes of those influental warriors after winning a battle, regardless of all of the suffering that came along with it, surely they felt like Gods for a moment in time.

I take the points of your posts on board however

yeah i get u broski, would be very exhilarating, my original message wasn't directed at you but moreso people who assume that they would be the knight in the fairytale story kinda thing

hope my messages didn't come off as insulting or anything :) at the end of the day, such a thing as described in the original post is cool to me too. I'm just nihilistic in regards to the world because of my observations of it

Imagine, arrows raining from the sky, as brothers fight, side by side

Imagine being Harald Hardrada, conquering 80 castles, blinding the Byzantine Emperor, becoming king, all before the age of 30. Imagine being the berserker of Stamford Bridge, striking down 40 Anglos and the only chance they have on you is gutting you from beneath the bridge.

Imagine being Baldwin IV, winning your first battle against Saladin at the age of 16, all while suffering from leprosy

Imagine being Sigurd the Crusader, going on a crusading adventure to the Holy Land at the age of 18, being a Chad Norwegian king, the first European king to participate in a crusade

These men of great feats and their soldiers are the men in human history who has truly lived the pinnacle of the male experience. That is going on an adventure with your kinsmen, dying in the proper male fashion, fighting alongside your king, fighting on equal terms with your enemy. The drone warfare of the modern age doesn't come close, where you are at a disadvantage to your enemy, where they blow you up while you're bleeding out in a trench, while your head of state sits comfortably at home getting paid by Jews. Even gladiatorial fighting is more honorable than modern sports.

Men today live in an age where women have more rights and privileges than them, where they are used as cannon fodder when they used to fight alongside their monarch before, and the most famous and honorable sport is kicking a ball. Even producing and raising a family is more difficult today

Remembered is a strong word, but they will definitely be documented. Even the most insignificant kings of client states of ancient Empires are remembered. Even ancient Egyptian architects, priests and people of other ordinary occupations are documented. I can imagine the ER's of today will still have documentation in 2000 years time, while ordinary people will be spoken of for the last time in 150 like usual

Huge cope, there was never a fair fight, one side allways has the advantage in technology or numbers.
Yeah imagine being medieval peasant getting run down by the same knights you are talking about.
Imagine being Briton native fighting off more armoured roman legions.
At least modern technology gives you opportunity to fight off stronger opponent.
