Both, day-to-day, use the massage gun as it is more likely to grow actual bone in the long run (I say more likely as all the data surrounding bonesmashing is still extrapolation, so we don't know if it truly does grow bone).
And before going out to a special event, use the hammer for a quicker and larger pump so you can fraud ang in the club bra

Hammer worked for me but you can get more bone growth with the massage gun.
