Does chewing gum hypertrophy the masseter muscle? Is so what are some other ways to hypertrophy that muscle in turn making your jaw look wider? I currently look like this but am trying to get a wider jaw by softmaxxing. I am trying to achieve a jaw broadness similar to Chico in his prime or Salludon

Hypertrophing That Muscle Doesn't Make Any Visible Change From the Outside Unfortunately.

Yeah, just chewing a lot will do it.
Gums are good if not too soft

Yes, it works. But chew 3 to 5 pieces of gum at a time, preferably a hard one. Use your molars and occasionally your incisors. You also have to simulate bruxism and practice clenching your teeth (not too hard, of course), and massage and stretch after a few hours of training or before bed. A decent amount of protein is required, of course. Some examples of what it looks like. Brad Pitt, Olivia Wilde, Girl from Reddt, Jacob Young, Ian Somerhalder...

Bone helps, of course, but most of the "width" we perceive is due to muscle, not bone. And it's known that muscle is needed, apart from exercise itself, to form bone. As muscle develops and is maintained, bone also develops. This happens at any age, but from 21-23, it's slower due to HGH. People with bruxism develop more bone in certain parts of the jaw and gonions, and bone spurs. The same thing happens with masseter hypertrophy. The downside of the process is that it makes you look bloated sometimes, but this is at the beginning, or if you overdo it.
