I have inwards gonions which make my fwhr look fucked and to counteract this I'll train my masseters, but will this just make me look like a bloated chipmunk? Am I coping or will it yield some positive results? any advice is appreciated

It’s not pure cope; mechanically, it actually works for inward gonions because masseter hypertrophy is the only non-surgical way to fake that lateral projection. But you’re completely justified in worrying about the bloated chipmunk look, because it all comes down to your bizygomatic width and your body fat. If your cheekbones aren't significantly wider than your jaw, building up the masseters will just destroy your facial harmony and give you a bottom-heavy, pear-shaped face. Plus, if you aren't...

If your cheekbones aren't significantly wider than your jaw, building up the masseters will just destroy your facial harmony and give you a bottom-heavy, pear-shaped face. Plus, if you aren't already pretty lean (like sub-12%), that new muscle is just going to push your lower face fat outward and make you look puffy instead of chiseled. My advice is to lean out first to see what you're actually working with, stick to chewing mastic gum on your molars so you don't nuke your TMJ, and only commit to it if your cheekbones can actually support the extra lower-third width.
