It's fucking hideous. Nothing works out nicely so we focus on the rare examples where it does and create the false normie narrative of mathematical beauty. They don't show you how difficult and messy it is to prove anything with rigor and that even the most basic results are still out of our reach.

There's a reason so many of the greatest mathematical minds go insane or abandon math all together
