Maxilla growth

im 16 turning 17 in 4 months, and my maxilla is still recessed. Im asian, is there a way to maximize growth, or do i just wait for it to happen naturally? is thumb pulling cope? is there methods? i had a palate expander as a kid and it didnt seem to work.
