just hit puberty i have a slight overbite and want to get braces will that decrease my forward growth or even make my maxilla recessed?

Braces themselves generally won’t restrict growth especially if you don’t need any extra extractions. Also a slight overbite is actually normal and ideal not sure if this would help in your situation but if extractions are needed you could look into expanding the dental arch before extracting generally that helps

Nah, braces won’t stop your jaw from growing or push your maxilla back. They just fix teeth alignment mostly.

Slight overbite is actually completely NORMAL. But if its too bad get braces

i have a slight overbite
this might just be normal icl, but get damon braces if ur going to get them, I haven't looked into them too much but I heard that they're the best option for aesthetics

Depends, if they remove teeth or use bands to push the maxilla backwards then it will affect your forward growth. Now mark this as a solution
