Every feature has to be in harmony with each other. As a man, your most prominent feature should be the mandible, larger mandibles make you look masculine. If your maxilla is too forward grown it makes your mandible look small by comparison. That's not to say a recessed maxilla is good, but too much forward growth is bad. Men need a small degree of downward growth.

When I said nostril exposure I meant being able to see their entire nostril opening when their head is in a natural position while facing you frontally at the same height
