I went to the dentist bc I thought my palate was narrow, in reality they found that my jaw is recessed which causes sleep apnea. From my side profile it doesn't look that recessed like people with long face syndrome look, but I guess the internal part is pretty bad. They didn't answer what surgery it would be to fix it, they said an appliance when I sleep and then I also assumed that a cpap machine would be another option although they never mentioned it. Giving all my symptoms to chatgpt (jfl) which was like a fucking laundry list of shit, it said that if I call my dentist back they'd likely say the surgery to fix it is mma surgery. I still have to go to an ENT but how can I like convince my parents that surgery would be good, their insurance is really good but they are very surgery adverse, even though the symptoms I have are bad, and I assume when I meet with the ENT they will agree. So like how tf do I get my parents to realize that I should get it (after I go to the ENT obviously)?
