Whenever I'd stay at a hotel I'd always ask if the roof is accessible, usually its met with a no but ive had a few times I've stayed in places and they don't mind if you access the roof as long as they know, i once spent a good 8 hours on a rooftop in reno, staring out across the Nevada valley, the adjacent mountains, the neon lights of little Reno. I contemplated jumping but the thought never really sank in, one of those things where it's like having an opportunity deciding to take it or not. Though this one didn't feel all that serious, just a "I could, but i wont."
