As good y‘all know sleep is one of the most important things for maximizing your looks.

So I went to the psychologist, because of my sleep problems -Need to much time to fall asleep and being tired during the day, even when I sleep more than 7 hours.

He prescribed me something called Quetiapin.
I should first try 12.5 mg and if it doesn’t work after 3 days, then I should start taking 25mg.

What it is?
Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic. At low doses (25 mg), it acts mainly as a sedative because it blocks histamine H1 and α1-adrenergic receptors. This reduces wakefulness, inner agitation, and autonomic arousal, leading to drowsiness and calming effects.

A relevant blockade of dopamine D2 receptors, which accounts for the true antipsychotic action and possible effects on drive, emotions, libido, and metabolism occurs only at much higher doses (usually from around 300 mg and above).

My main problem is with that, that it can really push your appetite.
If it wouldn’t help, then the doctor could prescribe me other medications he meant -like maybe a antidepressant or something like it.
Also I am 17.

So I am asking for y‘all opinions and would be thankful about every helping thread.

(high quality answer obviously gets solution)

Sleeping meds or sedatives are mostly cope and prescribed ones will probably fuck u up neurologically in one way or another long-term

If anything look into CNS stimulants for ur tiredness (Modafinil, Ritalin) and hydrate well, get ur nutrients in
I wonder why he didn't give you trazodone

What else have you tried?

Nothing else in the term

Its the first step into taking something, which is available with a prescription.
