There was a girl of my friend group who was in grade 12th back when i was in 10th grade... she did very well in 12th grade and was top 0.9&tile,she even got good grades for the medical entrance test, but she failed the interview and was rejected. All that hard work man... .

Honestly med should be applied to as a post graduate in most cases a high schooler does not have the required maturity or experience to make such a big commitment or undergo that pressure.
The top 3 professions with the highest suicide rates are all medical professions.
Even my GP told me how his son super smart scholarship dude got rejected and is now applying as a post grad, it’s a lot more competitive today too.

I used to wish I was a doctor or some shit where I can help people. Now I just laugh knowing doctors are out there working nonstop never being able to take a break during working hours whereas I can do my work at any time I want as long as I do it before a deadline, can go outside whenever I want during work hours, don't even have to show up except for morning meetings etc. All while still being paid relatively well.
