This is from me observing countless women over the years, also confirming this I read on Quora:

In most cases, women in relationships with men ... Prefer if they're stupider, because stupider men will act without thinking & be more capable of causing self-destruction, which is beneficial to the woman as then she preserves/lives on.
Think about it ... If the man was SMART he might use the woman, and then she'd be self-destructing.
But since women seem to often like/prefer dumber, less thoughtful men because they're more "protective." Intelligence in men explains virginity quite eloquently, as most high IQ are incels/smarter men are more likely to be virgins.
Smart men lose relationship value a lot ... Especially over time, because they'll value themselves.
If they value themselves too much, they are not protective. And this is an issue for many women because ... If a man is thinking over what's good for himself too much ... Will he then sacrifice himself for her, or is she on her own?
Dumb, more ape-brained men ... These are the kind women grow to like. Why? They're brute knights.
