It modulates Gamma-Aminobutyric receptor affinity without being a direct agonist, upregulates Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor in the hippocampus, and inhibits enkephalin-degrading enzymes to prolong endogenous opioid activity.
Clinical Studies:
