TL;DR speaking other languages gets you bitches irregardless it looks or common interests
—————-
I don’t post often but this happened a few days ago and I feel like I need to write it down. Might delete later.
I went to an art Gallery with two of my friends. All of us were dressed similar—smart casual, suits, decent shoes. Difference is they’re both objectively better-looking than me. One’s high -tier normie, tall with perfect eye area. The other is your soft mtn type. They’re not shy either, they pull.
We see two Chinese girls. Actual Stacies. One of them had that drama-actress look, very delicate, clean skin, cute voice. The other looked super classy, quiet, almost like she was floating through the museum. They weren’t paying attention to anyone. No smiles. No scanning. Straight NPC mode.
I don’t know why, but I went up to them. Cold approached. But I didn’t speak English. I opened in Mandarin.
“你们觉得这幅画怎么样?”
(What do you think of this painting)
I swear to god it glitched them. They both turned around, made eye contact, and smiled like I’d just said something magic. One of them laughed straight away. The whole vibe changed instantly. My friends were literally standing right there and got zero attention. Not even a glance.
I kept it casual, said a few more things, made them laugh again. They leaned in. One of them let me rest my hand on her shoulder mid-joke and didn’t flinch. We eventually took a photo together—**they asked me**.
No pickup lines. No common interests. No deep talk. Just Mandarin. Just confidence. I wasn’t even having a deep convo, just surface level normie slop.
My 5PSL friends? Fully filtered out. And they were dressed exactly like me.
This made something click. You don’t need shared hobbies. You don’t need to lie about liking art or whatever. You just need to speak on their wavelength. It’s not about attraction—it’s about recognition.
Looks matter. I’m not saying they don’t. But **language bypasses filters**. It reframes you completely. IQ isn’t just raw number—sometimes it’s just knowing something they didn’t expect you to know.

**TL;DR**
- Me: mid face, burger king crown, Mandarin fluency
- Friends: tall, jawline maxxed, better looking
- Girls: two Chinese Stacies, stone cold to anyone else
- Result: they talk to me, laugh, kino, ask for photo
- Friends: ignored completely
- Takeaway: no shared interests needed. Language = frame shift
- Pill: IQ > LMS in the right context
---
I’m not a natural. Just a dude who took Duolingo seriously and spoke up at the right moment. Something about it felt important. Thought someone here might relate.
Stay safe out there.
