Has anyone here tried using memantine? It completely changed my life for the better.
I have previously fried my brain receptors due to meth abuse in the past. Even months after quitting meth my brain was not where it was before meth. I was unable to hold a serious conversation for more than two minutes because I was getting bored and running out of things to say. I was constantly checking my phone at work and not getting anything done and I was obsessed with eating and craving sugar.
After two weeks of memantine I nearly returned to normal. I can talk and talk with other people, I can pay attention to things and I no longer crave sugar. I was taking 10mg a day for a week and a half and the last five days I took 20mg a day until I stopped taking it because I no longer felt like it was doing anything for me and I don’t want a tolly to NMDA antagonists.
This drug is prescription only but it is not scheduled, so it’s completely legal. You can buy it from Indian pharmacies. I bought it from the same Indian pharmacy where I get my Retin A. You can take it recreationally but I highly advise to not do it because if you’re not used to it, you will feel sleepy for a week straight because it is an antagonist to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Even when taking it therapeutically it could make you sleepy, so I recommend taking Alpha-gpc along with memantine to counteract the lack of cholinergic activity. It doesn’t antagonize the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors like Benadryl and other antihistamines though. It’s also a D2 antagonist and sometimes can feel a little stimulating but not to the point where you can’t sleep.
I believe memantine should be used in cycles. Once or twice a year when life kicks you in the ass. After two weeks of memantine I feel better than taking a month off of work and going to the beach or mountains. This shit creates tolerance slow but steady and the tolly will last your entire life, so don’t take it for too long.
