Men also have this idea that we can “conquer” so we will quite often go for the prettiest girl in the room, wether it’s out of pure attraction, or to challenge ourselves.
Thats definitionally hypergamy.

I think it’s also worth mentioning that in my opinion men are Inherently hypergamous, because of the fact that women are inherently more beautiful creatures.

If all women are beautiful flowers, and all men are bees, then of course men are inherently hypergamous.

Women provide the sweet nectar that makes life worth living.
Their presence in of itself makes life worth living, and they are inherently more valuable than men.

This is why “women and children” take precedence in times of emergency.

When a man dates a woman who clearly mogs his looks, he’s usually aware of it — but he almost always compensates in another part of LMS. So while they may not be equal in looks, they’re still roughly equal in overall value.


The reason people call women more hypergamous is because so many women, especially average or below average ones constantly boosted by male attention, start believing they deserve men far above them in overall LMS, without bringing an equivalent tradeoff themselves.
