Mental health worker thinks I have autism

Niks bijzonders bhaijaan, ik ging naar de dokter toe in begin van deze maand voor mijn slaapproblemen. Ik heb pillen gekregen ervoor (het zijn eigenlijk benzo's) en die dokter zei meteen dat hij een afspraak zou maken met een slaaptherapeut. Dus toen ik daar twee weken geleden kwam, dacht ik dat het daarvoor was. Eindstand diegene zegt dat ze een GGZ-werker zijn. Ik dacht wtf. Dus diegene stelt mij allerlei vragen waarop ik antwoord geef. Vandaag vroeg diegene of ik ooit getest was en ik zei nee, ik vroeg voor wat eigenlijk? Zei diegene voor autisme. Ik zei haha nee ik heb het sowieso niet. Ik denk dat u mijn OCD verward met autisme, omdat het een beetje op elkaar lijkt (want mensen met OCD en autisme zijn allebei eigenwijs). Ik geloof niet dat ik autisme heb. Maar goed, de werker vroeg of ik er voor openstond en ik zei geen probleem.

Ah ik snap je, dat is wel apart dat ze je meteen in die richting proberen te sturen. Goed dat je zelf het verschil aangeeft tussen OCD en autisme, veel mensen gooien dat inderdaad op een hoop. Uiteindelijk weet jij zelf het beste hoe je in elkaar zit. Ik heb gemerkt dat ze steeds vaker en vaker mensen dingen aansmeren die ze niet hebben zoals autisme.

there's a possibility you do, it's a common occurrence for OCD and ADHD to be found alongside autism. (for example i have both ADHD and aspergers.)

but, if that were the case youd know it already, most autism diagnosis are concluded in teenage years.

Yes, I am neurodivergent due to having OCD. I am technically speaking mentally ill. And yes. That's the same person.

Yeah I honestly do think professionals throw in a bunch of random diagnoses to make us all feel weird and abnormal. When the whole thing probably isn't even true to begin with. But good goys listen and take their meds and do as they're told.

Dankjewel bhaijaan. En ja echt, daar dacht ik dus ook aan. Alsof ze mensen expres dingen aansmeren terwijl het niet eens klopt. Zo'n gevoel kreeg ik dus net echt. Het is maar goed dat ik het verschil weet tussen OCD en autisme ja, ze zei ook dat ik (erg) intelligent was.

I agree with you but she's not a therapist and she was assigned to me so I didn't have a choice in the matter. I just thought it was funny so I posted this thread. I kind of already corrected her but she said if I am open-minded enough that we can always have it checked and I said sure.
