Rather not pull up paper what im saying is basic knowledge the paper is unrelated to the main discussion although it explains what IQ is and what determines major components of it. Im also to lazy to find it. A majority of Genes discovered that correlated with IQ are highly expressed pre/postnatally. The main role of these genes are to encode for protiens that will increase neurotransmitter secretion, the activation of ion channels, and metabotropic pathways, along with synpatic plasticity.

So I guess you can say increasing it can be positive.
