It started off cool, he said:

Then he started to power-play:

"My daughter's happiness and well-being are my top priority. I won't hesitate to intervene if I sense any impropriety or disrespect."

He said it in a very angry manner. I nod, trying to keep my cool and said:

"I understand, sir. I’ll make sure you won’t have a reason to intervene."

He Keeps pressuring me:

"I expect you to prove yourself worthy of my daughter. Not just with pretty words and gestures, but with consistent, devoted action."

I finally realize that this whole conversation is his method to power trip without consequences

I looked him dead in the eye and said:

"Sir, with respect… she didn’t fall for my words or my gestures. She fell for me. That part is already done. She chose me — and that choice speaks louder than anything I could ever do. The only thing left for you to decide… is how gracefully you accept that."
