Hey so i did some research and found out you can you USP grade methylene blue on your skin safely. So I searched up some studies and trials and found out the ratio of dosing. I use 10mg for a 50ml face moisturizer which is a low dose but effective without any severe side effects. FYI methylene blue is one of the first synthetic dyes produced in 1847 and later scientists found out that its an very good antioxidant with anti-inflammation and anti-aging benefit. So I have noticeable dark rings around my eyes and I have acne (I am also on accutane) so I was thinking. It helps with hyperpigmentation and inflammation so what if I made a cream with my methylene blue serum. So I first tested a little drop of the cream to my hand and found out it became pretty bright and smooth. So being the lab rat that I am I put a little bit on my eyebags. The immediate result was insane. It brightened up instantly and became super white with a negligible blue tint which you wouldn’t be able to see only under correct lighting. This is the first day of trying it I will try to post weekly and keep you guys updated. Also VERY SERIOUS SIDE EFFECT, methylene blue is cytotoxic which means it’s toxic to cells (especially your eyes) so be careful and only apply a little bit on the start with a Q-tip of something like that. Remember to test first on your hand and blend the methylene blue thoroughly to avoid unbalanced concentration. Use a gentle cream/gel without retinol, c vitamin, and plastic bpa’s.
