Hi
Almost 2 years mewing (about 21 months)
About 25 years old
I started open-mouth chewing recently, hearing the benefits, and on top of developing dark circles under my eyes I then started to feel some pain on my palate
From the reading I also came across face-pulling but didn't try it hard, however it became evident that this would result in some pain and subsequent healing
I face pull pretty weak and very infrequently, however open-mouth chewing is going strong. Could this be the cause?
Also interested to hear from the face pullers, do you feel this pain? Finally, seems exaggerated but I also heard about face-pulling machine (inserted into the mouth to expand the width from the inside) - not sure if anyone does it but would also like some opinions in regards to discomfort/pain

To clarify the pain is very weak and rather dull, can't pinpoint exactly the source but somewhere between palate and tongue. Evident when chewing

In addition to dark circles and palate/tongue pain I developed slight blood coming from my nose
It might be also related to sleeping on one side of my face only and my nose always being blocked from that side. Might start a topic later on this where by sleeping on one side of the face your skull gets a curve
Edit:
Shit, homie, I agree with you. I mean, it's better to try something than do nothing, esp. if it doesn't cost much. Also, if I am getting some changes (even if negative now), there's always hope even for a subtle change which will make a difference. In the worst case, I can always get a surgery. It's just that I want to see what's possible naturally. EG, was said yesterday that cheek implants make one's face look chubby in a male (in a clinic)

I doubt it will work at 25. I mean good oral posture is always good and you may notice some improvement in symmetry but nothing significant. I would look in surgery direction instead.

At 25 it's not worth trying that anymore. Go book some surgeries instead

Thanks, both; appreciate the honestly. I also hope that all of the doctors were like this. Instead, one fucker STRONGLY advises me to remove premolars when another calls him out on this BS - unfortunately, a lot of doctors do only WHAT THEY CAN, and not WHAT SHOULD BE DONE
Another issue, I don't have any defects, so most of the doctors also call me out and say that they WILL NOT RISK working with me
I guess, I'm guilty a little of trying to go towards a better look from average, so this is another issue

Could be your teeth, not the actual palate. Visit a dentist to check

Do you have an overbite ? Is your bite healthy?

Don't open mouth chew. Keep a lip seal whist chewing. Mike Mew recommends this.
