Mewing with uneven jaw

I have a uneven jaw (3mm to the left) and because of that the left side of my lower face is unsymetrical to the right side. I will have an jaw operation due to dental reasons but for now I wanted to now, should I still do mewing or correct my jaw first (then not all my teeth are touching) and then do it ?

Get your orthodontist to hear his opinion on mewing and to not fuck you up and instead actually fix the underlying problems before it’s too late.
