If you don’t know how to mew properly, or don’t think your doing it right. Here’s a way to make sure you are.

Alright so all you need to do is swallow your saliva and pay attention to wherever your tounge is right after you do this, it should be in the perfect spot to mew correctly.

Try it with water, let your mouth area rest fully, don’t try and mew or anything. Now just take a sip of water and swallow it, whatever position your tounge sits in leave it like that.
mewing does not work past 10

It works at any age, but the results are much for significant at 16 or below. This is because at 16 and below the bone is still malleable and the tounge alone(mewing) generates enough force required to change your facial structure. The only real results you’ll get when mewing above this age is changes in the soft tissue, better posture, and better nasal breathing, those are just a few. If you mew at above 16 you’ll see small bone changes between 5 to 10 years.

To summarize,

Mewing benefits(any age above 16)

Neck and face definition

Changes in the soft palate

Small bone changes(5-10 years)

Mewing benefits(below age of 16)
Increased tongue space

Guides forward growth of maxilla
(Mid face and cheekbones)

Guides forward growth of mandible(jawline)

Drastically opens airways(nasopharynx, oropharynx)

Simply don’t mew than, you’ll be the one regretting it and getting skeletal expanders when you could’ve just mewed you mouth breather.
you have to chew gum past puberty.
