Microneedling causing dry/cracked skin?

Ok so been microneedling my face so far so good is what I thought.

I microneedled yesterday and went out in the sun today (low IQ move ngl) and forgot to put sunscreen, it wasnt even 1 hour more like 30-45 minutes but my skin around my forehead and cheeks have become very dry and crackled.

Am applying moisturizers rn but this normally never happens.

Am I missing something about microneedling? are there side effects to it etc.

I’m pretty sure you need to stay inside after you do it, that’s what my dermatologist told me after she did it on me.
