I've been consistently mirconeedling my scalp for about 6 weeks now. I use a Derminator 2 with 1.5mm needles once a week. I use it in a stamping motion rather than dragging it around in order to prevent scarring. I stamp my entire scalp as I have diffuse thinning. I don't use minoxidil and I stamp until my scalp is literally drenched in blood. The blood oftentimes coats my hair and leaves it dry as fuck for a day or two. Up until yesterday, I saw no shedding caused by the microneedling, but that changed. Shed over 500 hairs in the shower and am still shedding like crazy. This would be the third shed I will have back to back if it is indeed a shed. I don't know if I can handle another shed. Some of the shedded hairs have white bulbs at the ends while others have dried blood on them. Could this be from the microneedling? Apparently shedding from microneedling can happen and it can mean one of two things: The treatment is working or you're being too harsh and actually causing damage. I am in a dilemma since I do push really hard and it hurts like a bitch, plus my scalp is sore even after a few days. Don't want to cause any scarring that might worsen my hair loss. Also taking ghk cu injections (2.5mg 5 days a week) to heal my scalp faster and promote further hair growth. Planning to up my dutasteride dose from 1.0mg ED to 2.5mg ED. Anyone else have experience with microneedling alone?
