They genuinely think they can compete with and beat dimorphic or athletic chads , and that women are waiting for the more unique edgy “rare” man (in this case dressing like a fashion obsessed faggot model in their mind). Or whatever their niche is, it’s basically never something actually cool. They redefine scarcity and rarity on their own terms till they die.
