Midface projection : Malar implant Vs periosteal lift

For midface projection, I'm starting to see a choice between Malar implants and midface lift fat grafting.

I don't have money for both I want to know your opinion.

I don't want to see the infras mentioned since the infras isn't really typical used for projection

I heard Malar had an Uncanny appearance? But I saw real ascension that looked natural

And for the midface lift, I'm going to opt for the periosteal detachment technique, along with other surgeries to address the sclera visibility issue.

And could you elaborate further? On your thinking, because of course I'm not going to spend tens of thousands on surgeries that were recommended to me without any justification.

But it looks interesting, I've seen it mentioned a good number of times.

Idk much about it. It’s a nice way to increase zygo projection but not really in a 3D way, you’re sort of just pushing the zygos outward which is nice but not as complete as implants.
But i don’t really like implants to me it’s an incel thing idk its dirty kinda

I am getting zygo implants this summer, most results look like shit, but it's always oldcels getting implants without a midface lift.

I'm don't really lean for implants too

Because for me is more radical
But it solves most of the problems of a serious recession

This is a design from eppley for example. Mine won’t have as much lateral projection and stop right at the infraorbital nerve (the white hole you see under the notch).

6 mm anterior projection is usually def too much, but it depends ofc on the full design.

Yes it’s Matérialise who makes most implants used by surgeons in Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy. Not the same engineer tho. And obv the surgeon might give his word on the design and you too.

But my surgeon also has a biomechanical engineer diploma. Actually I discussed that with him and he used to have an implant (not necessarily cosmetic zygo implants) 3D printing company. I believe he also prints his own titanium plates and guides etc (I believe that’s what he used for my surgery)
Anyway he said he’d be open to do place midface implants on me about a year post op (I quote him: « I have a masculine look rn but it could make me look like Schwarzenegger » lmao).

In any case I could also ask @tony10 for example depending on how much money I have.

But that’s if I want to do implants. After 2026 I will have fixed almost all my failos and spending so much wouldn’t be worth it.
