They are similar really. The miss-alignment of the jaw can cause a visible asymmetrical face. While miss-aligned teeth doesn't actually make an asymmetrical face, it can give the illusion that you do if you expose your full set of teeth to others. Hope this helps.

Misaligned teeth is comes from genetics and can also come from other factors. It doesn't actually give you an asymmetrical face because it is inside of your mouth. However, if you smile, it can give an illusion that it is misaligned because they are not straight. When in reality, you don't have an asymmetrical face. That's why Chico looks fine.

Hope this is a good (and worthy of an) solution
