I'm currently in my 1st yr college and went electrical engineer. I did this as a backup in case I didn't get in (95% Failure rate, btw). I'm having a blast in engineering, and the military academy in my country legit has a 100% guarantee of a high-paying job. I don't know which one is more worth it in the future. If I don't get in, I can retry until I'm 22 (18 rn), and if I don't, I have to study for a master's and a bachelor's after my 4 years in college.

I am an electrical engineer; there are certainly benefits to an engineering degree but if you are okay with the fact that there is going to be blood on your hands, ambitious to a sickening extent, and got brains, you can find lots of useful connections and other opportunities while serving. I suggest sticking with engineering for now tho but in the future, I am sure some military higher ups will appreciate a smart engineer.
