Easiest way to get lots of protein while at a deficit but worried about hormonal and collagen issues? I havent had issues with milk before but dont want to be doing any unseen, long-term/irreversible damage. Havent drunk milk in years before today and my skin is aite tbh, but i cant reach 180g protein without it

there is no evidence that milk will do anything bad. Maybe in some experiment where they exclusively feed rats a gallon of milk a day until they die but no you will not be hurt by drinking milk. Just drink some milk and eat some chicken and eggs and you will easily get enough protein. None of this real food like chicken, eggs, nuts, oatmeal, rice, milk, or anything else is going to hurt you. But if you wanted to you could easily reach 180g of protein with eggs and chicken.

estrogen in milk is a meme. yes milk does contain estrogen but the amount is so small that if you're gonna worry about that you might as well stop eating and drinking anything since estrogen is fucking everywhere. if your hormones are fucked blame your shitty genetics, chad lives in the same enviroment as you and still has a healthy endocrine system. milk does contain igf1, but again, genetics rule over everything. if you were meant to have high igf1 levels, you would have had them without even needing milk. in the end, milk is just a very good way of getting protein.

Jokes aside I think you’ll be okay drinking milk daily. Theres been some threads debunking the milk estrogen meme.

milk is much easier to consume. i also dont want to spend that much on buying loads of chicken. prefer to eat red meats with lots of nutrients eg steak liver other offal lamb etc

yeah ive never actually noticed an issue when drinking milk but I was discouraged by the reports of what it does hormonally etc. my friend told to drink almond milk instead but i think it might be cuz his girlfriends vegan. almond milk is trash (and expensive)

just to be clear theres still no issue if its semi skimmed pasteurised milk right? im not going to get raw milk. I dont need to nutrients enough to go the effort

honestly i cant be fucked with raw milk. I think in the uk you can only buy it from certain places and its probably more expensive. I cba to get it delivered and im not going to some farmers market cuz i live in the middle of london. my parents and girlfriend both get loads of semi skimmed from the milkman so its always there for me to drink just to get enough protein. Yeah i get raw milk is better because it has more nutrients but I dont think pasteurised would actually be bad, it just doesnt have the positively good shit that raw milk has (and i dont think i need that cuz i get loads of nutrients anyway plus eat sauerkraut kimchi etc for my gut)

I had issues hitting my 220g protein daily but never resorted to milk, builds to much mucus in my system and isn’t very protein dense anyway,

Chicken breast
Lean beef
Tuna
Protein powder
Eggs

I’ll eat, 600gram of chicken breast a day that’s 180g protien there + whey, eggs, nuts etc I can easily reach 220. (Also somedays I’ll replace some chicken meals with lean beef so I don’t off myself at how depressing chicken is to eat)

i used to use protein powder but i think thats a lot worse than milk given the chemicals and sugar in it. also want to avoid nuts due to antinutrients, and im sorry but i just cant stomach 180g protein worth of chicken breast. looking into low salt beef jerky without sugar, flavourings etc but its fairly expensive (£9.99 for 100g)

hey so ok, grass fed raw milk is VASTLY superior to any drink out there. it has a lot of bacteria and minerals and vitamins u need, its a super power drink tbh. its comparable to milk from humans. the problem with store bought milk is that its burned to complete death, aka no vitamins only macro nutrients remain + GMO from the shitty cow foods etc.

dont really need to vitamins though just need protein (obviously i need them i just get them elsewhere) and i cant be fucked to actually get raw milk cuz of the effort. would it be a good idea to ask my parents and girlfriend to start buying grass fed pasteurised milk though? is that even a thing? or get it myself obviously

you need the vitamins, you just dont understand it yet. most people are deficient. also milk is partly carbs. grass fed pasteurised milk is OK its only the macro nutrients you get plus small amount of vitamins and of course no GMO crap

vegetables arent nutrient/vitamin dense at all, meat is but it depends on what they eat etc. also when cooking meat past medium rare you loose its vitamins. dont eat chicken as well, it has next to nothing in vitamins/nutrients nowaday. eat medium rare steaks
